Lambda Music Examinations 2010 - 2011 (for piano, violin, guitar and voice)

Lambda students will progress from one level to the next in a systematic and methodical manner. Progress will be evaluated through an achievement examination conducted in a professional, objective yet friendly manner by our Lambda Accredited Teachers and faculty members to ensure that students have attained a level of proficiency before proceeding to the next level. The basis of evaluation for the Lambda examinations is based upon recognition of personal achievement, rather than comparison with others. Critiques from examinations can also serve as useful guidelines for students in their practice.

The Lambda Examination system is divided levels (8 levels, namely A to H for group instruction, and 10 levels of individual instruction). With the successful completion of each level, students may be awarded the following standings:

Format and Process of examination:

The Lambda Examination is a one-of-a-kind music examination that evaluates progress within an individual, rather than through external comparison with other examination candidates. The goal is to acknowledge progress through gauging the gradual musical development of the learner.
