There are very few cities that can compete with the glitz and glamor of Los Angeles, California and how could they with all the celebrities that frequent the city? Not to mention that it's also home to two of the NBA's best and popular basketball players in the Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin. Kobe Bryant was the reason why many celebrities such as Jack Nicholson would flock to the STAPLES Center but Blake Griffin has become a superstar in his own right and the current trend du-jour in Los Angeles and the surrounding area.

If you've ever had a friend or family member say that they wanted to be in the movies they would automatically mention Los Angeles and Hollywood as the place to be since L.A. is where many film and TV studios call home. You can't walk a block down Sunset Boulevard or Melrose Avenue without a celebrity sighting or thinking you saw a celebrity. That's right, it's Oscars season and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is getting ready to bestow upon the stars of cinema the Academy Awards. Anyone who is anyone in the film industry will be descending upon Hollywood's Kodak Theatre as they hope to either win an Academy Award or keep their name in the spotlight of the paparazzi and fans.

Many film stars see the Academy Awards as the social event of the year and the culmination of a long journey doing publicity tours for their nominated films or upcoming projects. Fans flock to Hollywood each year for the Oscars to try and get a glimpse of their favorite movie stars and this year will be just as crazy as years past. Wouldn't it be great fun to cruise up and down Hollywood Boulevard in a classic car and just watch the people walk by!
